Group A consists of Messico, Sudafrica, Corea del Sud, Czech Republic. Each team will play three matches during the group stage.
The top 2 teams from Group A will automatically advance to the Round of 32. Additionally, the best 8 third-place teams from across all 12 groups will also qualify, so finishing third still offers a path to the knockout rounds.
Group A matches are scheduled during the group stage phase of the tournament (June 11-26, 2026). Each team plays once against each other team in the group over three matchdays.
Teams are ranked by points (3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss). If teams are tied on points, the tiebreakers are: goal difference, goals scored, head-to-head results, then fair play points.
